Hi everyone, I’m Carmela. I’m really excited to be joining everyone for the next two weeks of learning this summer! I am originally from Southern Idaho where I lived for 27 years! Yes, it is the home of the great potatoes! I am happy to say I was raised working around fields of potatoes! I moved up to Anchorage 3 years ago and I just graduated with my college degree! I love the summers in Alaska! I love walking, hiking, and fishing in Alaska. During my relaxing time I love to listen to music, read books, and watch movies! Although I find that I also love to continue to learn and really enjoy doing research, something I thought I would not enjoy but I love it! I have a wonderful 7 year old daughter that loves being outdoors, playing! We take long walks together and enjoy the summer and winter days! I have been working around high school students this last year with Migrant Ed and really enjoyed it! I am looking forward to joining all of you on this summer learning adventure!
